Izzy turned 18 months on September 2nd. Yes, 1 1/2! Where does the time go? I swear she just turned 1! In the past 6 months Izzy has grown so much from a baby to a straight up toddler. As sassy and strong willed as …
Izzy loves art! She wants to colors, draw and paint all the time. If I let her do art all day, I think she would. With that being said, art can be very messy, especially paint. I’m sharing how I made some chalk paint easy as 1, 2, 3!
What you need: small cups or bowls, chalk, water, freezer ziplock bags and a wooden or plastic spoon & paint brushes.
1.First you chose the chalk color you want and put it into the ziplock bag.
2. Second you will hit the bag with a hard wooden or plastic serving spoon. Don’t go crazy and make sure all the air is out or you will bust the bag. Keep hitting until it’s completely broken up.
3. Dump the chalk powder into a cup and add some water. Now take it outside with some brushes and paint away!
The Chalk paint dries very quickly on the cement so there is less mess than normal paint. I did put Izzy into a swimsuit so she would be easy to wipe down after.
You can work on pre writing skills such as horizontal lines, vertical lines & circles. Learn more about teaching writing here & enjoy exploring writing and building hand strength for writing while creating art with chalk paint.
Find colors that are good to mix! I chose blue and red so we could make purple. We also talked about shapes! I painted some onto the cement. I then asked her to find the star and she would go paint the star. It made learning shapes a fun and engaging activity.
I know she looks unimpressed but this is her focused face. I called her name and this is what I got. lol
I know you are wondering, so I’m going to share. Izzy’s swimsuit is from Babi-kini. Like most baby swimsuits you want to size down. She wears 18 month clothes but as you can see the 12 month suit fits great! This company has some darling and unique styles and patterns. Izzy’s swimsuit is called the Hanky Panky, it’s a full-cut bikini and you can find it here. Isn’t that cut-out in the back darling? I mean honestly I love all of he details! The little beads on the strings really caught her attention. She gasped with excited as I got her dressed into it. This kid really loves clothes and fashion, I don’t know where she gets it from. lol
Here’s to a cute babi-kini and less chalk on our hands!

Moccasins have been one of the biggest baby/toddler footwear fashion. This shop took leather shoes to a whole other level! You can now find fashions beyond the moccasin style with the same comfortable feel at Feather and Filly.
.
What kinds of shoes does this company have? Moccasins, sandals, boat shoes, MaryJanes, flats and more.
Feather and Filly have some of the most adorable shoes that are also comfortable for your baby, toddler or child’s feet. Isabella pulls these shoes out of the closet and requests I put them on her. Safe to say she really loves these fun little lilac shoes. I love them because they are soft, easy to put on and easy for her to walk in. Plus what is cuter than the little footprints made on the bottom of leather shoes?
Izzy and her teddy bear, she loves dressing him up.
We should let our babes be little and with that they need to have comfortable and stylish feet while they play, right?
