I want to start off saying, I’m not an anti candy mom. I do however try to keep Izzy’s candy intake to a minimum & I often buy the organic & dye free stuff. #healthycandy If there is such a thing. That said, Izzy will likely

Non Candy Easter Basket Treats

Non Candy Easter Basket Treats

Thank you PeekAWhoo, Farm Fresh Toys, London Littles and Pediped the items sent for review. As always all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Do we put candy in Izzy’s basket? We most certainly do! But the majority of treats in her basket are not candies. We love adding things she needs, wants and can contribute to educational play.

1. A Bunny

Obviously this is first on the list and a must for every Easter basket. PeekAWho has been our go to for personalized Jelly Cat bunnies. They are so soft and she sleeps with her bunnies every night. They have a few sizes too, so you can switch it up from year to year or for different kids.

2. Toys

I love toys that encourage dramatic play and can be used educationally. With the carrots and eggs from Farm Fresh Toys, they have a cute spring feel and also are great for talking about healthy eating habits, for her pretend grocery shopping or pretending to cook. This shop has darling felt toys that are sure to spark the imagination of your little one. Educationally with these specific toys, we can count the eggs & talk about the colors we see on the eggs and carrots.

3. Books

I can always find cute seasonal books at my grocery store near the seasonal candy. It’s a quick and easy way to add another book to your child’s collection.

4. Spring/Summer Shoes

A good pair of rain boots is a must in the spring & I think it’s a super cute add to the Easter basket. London Littles has some adorable styles and colors for boys and girls. Kids feet grow so fast and each season calls for a new type of shoe. Pediped has some new adorable spring and summer fashions out.

I hope you guys have a wonderful Easter and have a blast getting those baskets together.
