Protein Packed Shake

5 Ingredients:

Frozen banana chunks

Milk, almond milk or water

Vanilla 

Honey 

Protein Powder

Optional: Blue Spirulina

Recipe:

The day before or when I see bananas getting a little too ripe I peel them and break them up into pieces & freeze for our shakes. For 2 people I add 2 frozen bananas. For this thickest shakes you want to add milk, then almond milk (I get the MALK brand) or least thick water. I add a little at a time as I blend to reach the desired thickness I want. Before blending begins I also add about a tsp of vanilla, a tablespoon of honey and 2 heaping scoops of my Bone Broth Protein Powder. (Click that link to save 15%)

I’ve tried many “clean” protein powder options and this brand is by far my favorite. 1 ingredient and no tummy issues. I get the unflavored so I can add this to sweet or savory meals and treats. Some people like to have it in their coffee.

Once added to our cups I add 1/4- 1/2 tsp of Blue Spirulina to our drinks because (my daughter thinks it’s cool) and it has many health benefits! We gave up petroleum based dyes once we started our health journey because we learned they have many negative effects on our health (hence why they are banned un so many other countries). But the plant based dyes we use actually support our wellness.
