Organizing a Kitchen Cart

I’ve been wanting a kitchen cart for years and I finally got one! I didn’t want one that just held cute glasses and bottles of wine. I wanted one that would be functional for our daily life. Our kitchen cart got a lot of items off the counter & better organized.
The top shelf is for coffee and tea making. My husband was so excited to have a coffee bar! The next shelf is for my herbs. I also added a basket to hold onions, garlic, potatoes and tomatoes. The bottom shelf is all Teddy. Teddy is our Pomeranian & as Izzy would tell you, her brother. In the basket we keep Teddy’s leash and some treats. In the containers we have his food, treats and medication.
Below I’m sharing my 3 simple tips for organizing and decorating your kitchen cart.

1. Choose containers, baskets & bins that have a uniform look.

2. Add some greenery to give a fresh color pop. I have herbs & a faux plant.

3. Create some height variation. This can be with the containers, baskets & bins. You can even try adding a tiered tray, stand or lazy susan.

It’s fun to add extra flair to your cart during different seasons and holidays. Right now for Valentine’s we added some Rae Dunn Valentine’s napkins and festive straws for Izzy’s hot cocoa.
