10 Photo Gifts Your Family Will Love

10 Photo Gifts Your Family Will Love

Thank you Shutterfly for sponsoring this post; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Being that I’m a blogger and take a billion photos of Izzy daily, it’s safe to say I’m photo obsessed! I have them all organized in folders on an external hard drive and pull them for many gifts.

1. Holiday Cards

Whether it’s for your holiday celebration or for the new year it’s so fun to send out a card for family and friends to receive. I personally love hanging them up in our house! There are many options with Shutterfly to create gorgeous and custom cards.

2. Framed Canvases

Everyone has different taste and there are lot of people who loved framed canvases. Shutterfly creates beautiful framed canvases. When I opened up ours up I was wowed by the quality and sharpness of the photo in canvas form. Izzy liked seeing herself too.

3. Ornaments

Every year my mom and I both order from Shutterfly. We love creating ornaments to capture the year to year shots of Izzy with Santa or us as a family. It’s a beautiful way to look at memories year to year when decorating the tree.

4. Framed Prints

Being a lover of photo taking, I of course love the gift of large prints for family to hang in their homes. Not to mention a gift for myself. hehe

5. Calendars

This is a perfect gift for those who are desk bound during the work week. Izzy’s daddy gets to work from home 3 days a week, but she’s stuck as his desk. So I thought this would be the perfect gift for him. He can see Izzy month to month when peeking at the calendar.

6. Pillows

I love the idea of pillows with photos for family members or friends. Just like blankets, which I share below, it’s great for those who are photo fanatics and even family that’s far away.

7. Blankets

8. Cups or Mugs

Know any coffee or tea drinkers? Well, this is a fun way to personalize a gift for the caffeine lover in your life.

9. Playing Cards

10. Candles

If you are a photo lover like me then giving the gifts of captured memories really is the way to go. I hope I gave you some good ideas.

Have fun creating photo gifts!

How Forgetful People Pack Their Holiday Decor

How Forgetful People Pack Their Holiday Decor

As you know, from this post, we have had a Tile for bit now. Honestly I feel like I need at least 10. I’m such a forgetful person, some call it mom brain. Beyond being forgetful, we take holiday stuff out 1 time a year…so everyone is bound to be forgetful. We need a Tile for when we pack up our holiday gear. Have you ever gone to open the tree or lights with a remote and the remote is no where to be found?

Okay here are some tips for those forgetful!

1. Put All The Remotes In 1 Place

We have a “fake tree”. Bring on the eye rolls, but honestly between having a dog who may try to eat it, the ease of putting it up and taking it down and having a toddler who would definitely pull it apart… this is working for us. The tree comes with a remote for the lights along with a few other holiday decor pieces we have. So we put them all in a big plastic bag together so the tiny removes don’t get lost.

2. Use a Tile

We now keep all our remotes in one of the built in cabinets of our living room. As I stated above, they are all in a big plastic bag. I keep some stored decor in this cabinet so as season change things move around. No matter how I move some of the stored items in that built in, we will easily find that bag because Tile is in there to help. I’m not even worried if my husband accidentally puts it in a bin in the garage, because thanks to Tile I’ll find it.With a a few simple clicks on my phone and off to the Tile app I can easily find my Tile and the items it’s with. The Tile sets off a little tune so you can follow your ear to find the Tile.

If you know someone who is forgetful the Tile is an amazing gift! I also use a Tile on my camera since I use it and set it down in the house… then can’t find it. It’s also great for anyone who misplaces their wallet or keys.

3. Pack In An Organized Way

Specifically pack all tree decor in one box and all nutcrackers for example in it’s own box. Then when you are unpacking you will know you finished all of the tree ornaments or you have found all of your nutcrackers for placing around the house.

4. Keep Lights Separated

Keep the outside lights separated from the indoor lights. No one wants to open holiday bins to find they indoor and outdoor lights are all mixed up. That’s giving me a headache thinking about it.

I hope you found this helpful and this makes opening holiday decor next year much easier!

Potty Training A Strong-Willed Child
