Shade at Higgins Beach Inn

Thank you to Shade at Higgins Beach Inn for hosting us and sharing complimentary dishes. As always all thoughts and opinions shared are 100% my own.

Looking for a coastal treat? Sister to the Black Point Inn, Shade at Higgins Beach Inn is a perfect spot to eat. We were lucky enough to stumble upon it. The spacious deck was bright and beachy. Not to mention the staff was very accommodating and attentive.

Bonus: from the Higgins Beach Inn you can walk right down to the beach.

Izzy really enjoyed the outdoor seating and so did we.

The cocktails were on point! Kudos to the bartender and delicious cocktail menu.

Inside there is a bar and indoor seating section. The accent color red just pops and give a fun and bright feel to the space. The bar was packed and everyone here really seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere, food and drinks.

Alright, on to the food!

The appetizers were super tasty! They had awesome seafood apps to chose from. Which is what you want when you come to Maine, right?

The entrees were beautifully plated and delicious.

This giant homemade ice-cream sandwich was shared between everyone at the table. My sweet toddler Izzy was pretty much in heaven with this dessert.

So if you are planning a trip to Maine check out the Higgins Beach Inn and their gorgeous restaurant Shade. You don’t want to miss this hidden gem.

Asian Street Food at Atlanta’s Food Terminal

Asian Street Food at Atlanta’s Food Terminal

Thank you to Food Terminal for hosting us. As always all thoughts and opinions shared are 100% my own.

A few weeks back I enjoyed some quality girl time with fellow blogger friends of mine. We all met online through the blogging community and decided to get together in Atlanta for a short girls weekend. We left our families and crammed in some of the best ATL eats and sights.
One of the places we were most excited to try was the Food Terminal.

Why? The food is different from most Asian restaurants you may normally go to. The concept inspired by Asian street food; mainly Malaysian food was more amazing than we could have imagined.

Owner Amy started selling street-style noodles in Malaysia at age 15, and she and Howie movies to USA to pursue dreams of being entrepreneurs. They now have this huge, beautiful and colorful place to call their own.

The atmosphere is minimalistic with highlights of neon. The resultant was busy but spacious enough to accommodate many patrons and the wait staff was amazing. The staff was also very accommodating. Our waitress was diligent to get accurate info regarding food allergies and making sure we got the right dishes for those in a party who couldn’t have certain foods.

Ipoh chicken & Shrimp Ho Fun great nut free option and gluten free if asking for absence of fish cakes.

Here are some others we tried:

Garlic bone marrow
Kari spare rib noodle soup
Curry chicken
Grandma wonton BBQ pork

So guys I highly suggest if you are in the Atlanta area, come and try Food Terminal. There is a large menu and I’m sure the staff will help you find a perfect dish to try.

On The Go Plant Based Protein Snacks for Baby + Toddler

On The Go Plant Based Protein Snacks for Baby + Toddler

Izzy is a big snacker. She didn’t get the nickname Busy Little Izzy for nothing. She’s constantly moving (burning calories) and therefore constantly hungry! I can’t leave the house without having snacks on hand and that’s a fact. Maybe it should even be mommy rule #1. Don’t leave the house without snacks.

Being a working at home mommy, I’m super busy and Izzy is with me ALL THE TIME.

Whether we are driving or running errands She’s mostly likely going to want a snack and I want her eating products that are protein packed and more often than not I try to give her organic food.

Sprout® came out with brand new products that are just what we need. Protein packed and perfect for busy parents on the go. I had to share because this is a company that does their very best to transparent with us as consumers.

If you don’t already know about Sprout®, they provide premium organic foods & snacks for babies and toddlers. The use only USDA certified organic, non-GMO ingredients which include a mix of whole fruits, vegetables and grains.

Also Sprout® does not use any artificial ingredients or preservatives, fillers, or thickeners! #momwin

This means if the container states Carrot, Apple, Banana on the front, then those will be the same primary ingredients you will find listed on the back.

Sprout’s Stage 3 Baby Food Purees and Power Pak Toddler Purees deliver protein through plants. Yes, plant protein! They act as a healthy alternative to the typical meat and dairy-based protein families may eat.

Sprout’s Organic Curlz baked toddler snacks are made from chickpeas and lentils. Izzy is pretty obsessed with them and I feel good about giving them to her.

Educate yourself further on Sprout’s products here and also snag some discounts and deals so you can try them!
