Mealtime with Brinware

Thank you Brinware for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

I’m always looking for mealtime products for Izzy that are safe and functional. I’m so excited to share Brinware with you all. The first time I was introduced to the company was in my babyguy box. I was instantly obsessed with the reusable placemats.

I guess I’ll dive into those first. These food grade silicone placemats are great for at home or on the go. Roll up this mat and take it with you out to eat. I just wipe it down and roll it back up after she’s finished. You can even use them as an actual plate if needed. The placemat is easy to clean (if is dishwasher safe) & won’t retain odors.

And beyond that fact they come in many adorable colors.. they also have educational and fun prints.

The plates are made from tempered glass and a removable silicone sleeve. It’s easy to take on and off for washing. You can also put the plate in the microwave and dishwasher.

The bibs are adjustable and again made with silicone. There is a pouch to catch the foods that miss Izzy’s mouth.

Their multipurpose containers are awesome for storage at home or on the go for school or picnics. They are safe in the dishwasher, microwave and freezer. The freezer? Yes, borosilicate glass is resistant to thermal shock.

Want to learn more about the company from the woman who started it?

Here our brief interview.

Q: Why did you start Brinware?

A: In 2008 when studies had proven BPA and Phthalates were harmful to the development of children and used in the manufacturing of plastic bottles I became alarmed. I started looking at tableware offerings for kids and noticed almost everything was plastic. There were almost no options of tableware that wasn’t made of plastic that most importantly you could microwave. I used my background of product design to start developing a collection of tableware designed for kids that was an alternative to plastic. I looked for materials that were naturally free of these harmful chemicals. Our collection is made from 2 simple materials that are not plastic – tempered glass and silicone.

Q: Where does the name Brinware come from?

A: Simply put I liked the term Brinware. Brin symbolized something Bright and that is how I envisioned my collection.

Q: Anything we can expect from you in the future?

A: We are working on silicone and glass suction bowls, silicone divider plates in cute shapes, and easy grip stainless steel utensils. We hope to release later in the year. We strive to bring our customers innovative products in materials they can trust.
