Creating An Organized Pantry

Creating An Organized Pantry

I received some of the wire baskets from Spectrum Diversified for an honest review. This post contains affiliate links (with a purchase, a small commission can be made to help keep this blog going). As always, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

I swear the pantry is what keeps this house going. I mean, hello.. there is food inside it. I’m seriously loving how organized my pantry is now. I was feeling like things were getting lost, expiring and then thrown out. I couldn’t take it anymore. 2 years after moving into this house I decided it was time to ORGANIZE THE PANTRY.

Sounds scary right? It was a little bit overwhelming as I pulled everything out and had all the contents sitting on the island and floor. I picked out what belongs with what and then how to put it all back into the pantry. I’m going to share how to easily organize your pantry so you can find the things you need daily and still access the things you need occasionally.

1. Find Baskets/Bins

First off find baskets or bins that you can see through to put your pantry items in. For example I got these fun wire baskets from Spectrum Diversified. You can see into them easily from the top and slots. I chose some with color to add a little pop when I opened the pantry door.

2. Put Like Items Together

On the very top of the pantry I have baskets with snacks in them. Joe and I mostly snack at night so those are on the top since they are not used often. I put all pasta in one bin and then sauces in another and I kept those together on the same shelf. Guys I married an Italian we are ALWAYS stocked with pasta and sauce.

One of the panty shelves is literally ALL for Izzy. All of her special treats and healthy snacks are in bins and jars.

3. Mix and Match

Don’t feel like you have to all like/similar bins, mix it up a bit. I used jars, glass containers and wire baskets to organize my pantry.

Here are some fun options:
