4 Reasons I keep OLLY probiotic sticks in my diaper bag

For the New Year I told myself that I’d drink more water, snack healthier and add probiotics back into my diet. I used to take probiotics and Izzy did as a baby also. They helped her be more regular and reduced any digestion upset as her tummy

The Importance of a Daddy – Daughter Date

The Importance of a Daddy – Daughter Date

I received the shared products from Janie and Jack for an honest review.  As always all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

I love seeing Izzy with her daddy and as she gets older Joe will be taking her out for daddy and daughter dates. I think it’s important they have time out together and bonding. For now her daddy daughter date will be home. Special time alone playing in the yard and then eating their favorite pizza with black olives.

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to have your daughter and her daddy going on a date and also try a mother and son date.

First things first your date will need some darling little clothes for your date and for that you should head to Janie and Jack.

The Forever Valentine collection is seriously too sweet. Oh and their attention to details on the clothing and accessories is sweet perfection.

“Mom, butt out of our alone time!”

So why should parents take their daughter or son on a date?

This teaches the child how they should be treating others and what to expect from others. They will learn date educate from your modeled behavior. Best of all you are getting special bonding & alone time with your child. We get so busy with life it’s really important to have those special times together. Plus, what child doesn’t want 100% of their parent’s attention?

When working on cognitive skills one of Izzy’s favorite games is memory/matching. She has always been grate at memory games and she loves searching for the matches. For beginners you could have them match colors and for older children you could have them match the actual prints. Izzy matches the printed images on the wooden coins.

But this isn’t all you are working on when playing this game!

You are also working on following directions. Start with 1 step directions. This is saying, “Flip the coin.” After this you wait and/or model the direction given. If your child can follow 1 step directions start trying out 2 steps. “Flip the coin and then tell me what you see.”

Lastly you will be building language skills. Work on positional skills such as “over, on top, under, & next to”. Discuss the colors or prints on the coins. “It’s purple!”
