I received the shared products from Legacy Learning Academy for an honest review. As always all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
When you become an educator you never stop being one. You may no longer be teaching in a classroom, but that doesn’t take the urge and love for teaching away.
You all know I LOVE sharing companies with educational goodies. Legacy Learning Academy is a company that creates educational toys, games and activities for your kids. I have 2 of their toys and I’m sharing how to use these tools to work on developmental skills with your child.
So what did we get and how are we using these toys?
Colorful Bead Stringing
When stringing beads Izzy is working on her fine motor skills. But guys, that’s not all! Izzy is also working on her math skills, while matching beads or creating patterns. She’s also working on her cognitive skills by solving how to best get the bead onto the string and then pull them off.
We worked on putting the beads on with and without help, matching the beads while stinging them and identifying the colors.

Hand Painted Block Set
While playing with these blocks Izzy is working on her math skills by creating patterns and matching to the sheets given with different ways to place or stack the blocks. She’s also working on her motor skills with the stacking motion. Did you know by 12 months your child should be stacking 4 blocks and by age 2 they should be able to stack up to 6? Izzy is also working on her cognitive development when thinking about stacking the blocks and copying the pattern activity mats.

I think most importantly I want you to remember to have fun while learning and exploring with your child.
