I love getting a little creative in the kitchen but most of all I love having little snacks, treats and meals prepped. I’m the mom that prefers a crockpot meal because it’s less clean up and it cooks itself all day. If you LOVE having fall treats in “to go” form, I’ve got just the tutorials for you.
First off you need to head to Walmart for your ingredients. I found all of my favorite fall treat ingredients there! Plus not to mention, if you have grocery pick up in your area then you can click here to save yourself and your friends $10 on your next Walmart purchase with their refer-a-friend promotion.
I snagged my favorite fall holiday baking items:
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
Libby’s® Pure Pumpkin
Libby’s® Pumpkin Bread Kit (that’s right they have a bread kit!)
NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Pumpkin Spice Refrigerated Cookie Dough
For the recipe I’m sharing we will be using the Libby’s® Pumpkin Bread Kit and the NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels. You will also need vanilla icing (in a can is best), 4 eggs, water, oil, cake pop sticks, parchment paper, plastic wrap and ribbon.
Pumpkin Cake Pop
1. Follow the instructions on the Libbys Pumpkin Bread kit to make your cake. I used the baking instructions for a 13″ X 9″ cake. Don’t add the icing.
Once cooled cut the cake into 4 pieces and cut off the edges of the piece you will be using for the cake pops.
2. Crumb the bread in a bowl and add a dollop of vanilla icing. This cake is moist so you don’t need much icing. The icing is what helps it stick together. Keep in mind if it’s too moist then it won’t stick together. For a dryer cake you can add more to your cake pops.
3. Time to make and decorate the pops! You have 2 options when making them. You can roll your mx into balls and put them onto a parchment paper sheet in the fridge or you can use a cake call maker like this. Either way they need to go into the fridge for 2-3 hours. Once they are set you will start heating your chocolate (instructions on how below) and dip the stick into the balls. The chocolate helps keep the stick in place.
When melting your Nestle Chocolate in a pop stirring frequently on low/med heat. I also melted Nestle butterscotch morels as well to give a two toned look.
Dip your pop into the melted chocolate. For a two toned look drizzle or dip the top into another colored chocolate. I also added gold sprinkles to the top for a little glitz. Make sure you sprinkle those on top right away before the chocolate starts to harden.
4. Display your cake pops in a festive bowl with some tissue paper to help them stand in place.

Not having a party?
Grab some plastic wrap and tie a ribbon around each cake pop so they are ready to be snagged for a last minute playdate or mom night. You also never know when your signifiant other is going to spring on you that you are going to the in laws tonight! No worries you have dessert to go!

Easy and delicious! Head to Walmart now to grab your holiday baking items and make some delicious treats for your family and friends.
